historic st. philips church cemetery contains signers of both the declaration and constitution. Where else could you find this?
I came across Mark Jones' blog by accident but suggest you check it out if you are interested in Charleston history or history in general. The answer to the question is -- there are 5 graveyards that contain both signers, one of course is St. Philips in downtown Charleston. At St. Philips cemetery you will find Edward Rutledge who signed the Declaration and was the youngest signer, and Charles Pinckney who signed the Constitution and was the 2nd youngest signer. Check out the blog to get the details about the other 4 locations and signers -- the link is below. There is one cemetery that has 2 signers of both documents. Let us know if you were surprised by the answer!
